Last updated: 31 August 2026. This policy applies to the website stopstop.co.za and the StopStop game hosted on it ("the site").
This site is operated by Aslam Goolam Hoosen. We respect your privacy and keep data collection to the minimum needed to run a free, ad-supported game. By using the site you agree to this policy.
We do not ask you to create an account and we do not knowingly collect personal information such as your name, email address or phone number through the game. The game saves your progress (your current city, cash, points and upgrades) only in your own browser using local storage on your device; that data stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical log data — such as your device's IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit — for security and to keep the site running.
This site does not show advertising and does not set third-party advertising cookies. The game keeps your progress in your browser's local storage (see above); no tracking cookies are used. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first.
If you post a score to the global Top Ten, the name you type and your score are sent to our server and shown publicly on the board. Your IP address is used only for rate limiting (to stop the board being spammed) and is not published.
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how many people play and which parts of the site are used, in aggregate. This does not identify you personally.
The game is a light arcade game suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
The site may link to external websites (for example retailers or Google services). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites; please review their policies.
You can clear the game's saved progress at any time by clearing your browser's site data for stopstop.co.za. You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as intended if you do.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
